Bill: Erm, not really that much. Well, we’ve, erm... Actually we always let ourselves be surprised a bit and erm, actually [we] came here without high expectations and are totally happy about the reaction so far. We’ve already had very amazing fans that were somehow singing for us... *laughing* ... and screaming outside the hotel all night long. And we’re totally looking forward to the concert. [cut off]
Question 2: Speaking about the fans...the fans die for you! There have been girls who are waiting for you from Saturday where the concert will take place. What would you say to these girls?
Bill: [I] would erm… Well, first of all I’d wish for everyone to somehow have a nice concert, I think. And apart from that we can only repeatedly say thanks for even being given the opportunity to come here as a band and to play concerts here and [we] are incredibly grateful for the fans supporting us like this and somehow, erm, [that they] are so into it and especially for, for living this entire life with us, right? That they really wait for us for days prior to the concerts, that they somehow stand outside the hotel and it’s definitely making us feel good even though we’re actually so far away from home. And erm, yes, we’re looking forward to, we’re looking forward to playing for them then and I’m just wishing a good time to everyone.
Tom: And already in advance I can only apologise for Georg playing the bass like sh*t. *Georg laughing* Well... I just want to say that first...
Bill: Beforehand...
Question 3: You two are twins. How of difficult is it to work together the whole day?
Bill: Actually, erm, not at all. I think, for us it would be weirder if we weren’t together because we, erm, have spent all our lives together of course. Erm, and I think between identical twins there is even more of a special connection that otherwise is hard to comprehend and grasp for an outsider. It really is something like, erm, yes, something very weird on some kind of a different level and erm... Therefore, it has always been very normal for us. Together we have... always done everything together. We are... [cut]
Bill: The same dogs.
Tom: *laughing* The same dogs. Actually we share, like, everything. So therefore working together is not an issue for us. That’s not the way we see it.
Question 4: Bill, you were a lot of time fighting against the prejudices that existed for your image, your look... how was this process? This situation to fight against the prejudices?
Bill: I have to say, actually I’ve always been quite self-confident. *laughing*
Georg: Too self-confident. *Tom laughing at Georg’s comment*
Bill: Therefore, I’ve always just been doing it. After all I also went to school like this and it was always obvious to me that of course people would feel provoked by it, erm, and that also was always a feeling that I liked somehow and therefore... Bill: Erm, I would say that it’s always a bit mixed. Meaning, for most parts we are, we are of course proud and are happy that we’re travelling so far away and that the people still know our music and erm, come to our concerts. And especially for a German band that’s of course some kind of a dream that came true [when] one is able to play concerts on different continents. And at the same time we’re a bit homesick. Meaning, when we’re flying for such a long time now and also are away for such a long time, then one also misses their home a bit. Erm, but of course for the most part it’s actually happiness about us somehow having the opportunity to perform.
Do you think that you may also be able to sing in another language other than English or German or that it might happen some day? Well, that...
Tom: Well, we’ve once [recorded] a song in, erm, Japanese… Well, Bill recorded the vocals in Japanese for a song, erm, and he had a bit of help with it and I think, it didn’t turn out too well for him. *Tom, the Japanese expert making Bill smile* Meaning, I’d just be interested [to know] whether they actually really understand what Bill is singing on it. Erm, but, erm, apart from that we’re pretty much occupied with English and German, I think. Well, one has got to say that especially the production of an album takes a really long time with us, erm, when we’re recording the songs in German and English. We’ve really taken ages for our last album doing it that way. Erm, so therefore I think two languages are quite enough for us.
Do you somehow feel responsible, that you’ve got some influence on your generation? Meaning, that you’ve got influence on your generation?
Bill: Erm well, actually I’ve got to say that one doesn’t think about it much because most of the time... Well, in the end we’re just making music, right? And erm, after all that’s also the thing we know how to do. That means we, we’re not thinking about influencing people somehow but we just do what we enjoy doing and erm, erm... Yes, also what we think is right somehow. Meaning, we never really think about, erm, that somebody is taking a leaf out of our book or something like that. One really just does something the way they can do it best and erm, doesn’t really think about it a lot and erm... After all we also started out very early, right? Our first single was released when we were 15 and erm, therefore we’ve always been doing it the way we somehow thought was best and what we just thought was right.

Bill: Exactly. There aren’t actually five bands that have influenced us. We’ve also never covered songs. Meaning, we’ve always been making our own music and erm, therefore it’s very difficult. Well, now if I’m just talking for myself [and] what music I personally like to listen to, erm, then, erm, it’s definitely, like, Stereophonics and Aerosmith. But also, like, things from the Eighties. I like Depeche Mode very much and erm, a few things by David Bowie. Well, it’s very, very diverse. However, now that wasn’t... Those are not our, erm, people that we based ourselves on or something like that.

Tom: Erm well, pretty much exactly what we’ve been doing on our European tour. Meaning, we’ve tried to bring along as much of our production as possible. The set list will be the same. That's why we took some photos today and put ourselves in chains. In the first moment people think, that it is funny and that the animals have fun, but the reality is of course different. Of course the animals were not kept species-appropriate, and for running so nicly in the round, training is necessary and here and there a few slaps.
Tom: There are always parents, who go to the circus, with their very little children. The little children know nothing about the source, and that's why parents have to develop the awareness, that this is not okay.
Bill: Otherwise there is a wonderful circus with artists, there, everyone can go. We did it also.
Tom: Now the second motive, now we are in the cage...
Questioner: Can you empathize with a caged animal?
Tom: No, I don't think so. It's a thousand times worse. We are only here for ten minutes to take a picture, but that's already enough.
Bill: We see a lot with animals in showbusiness in general, whether TV-Shows, performances, video-shoots, that was something, that we strictly denied.
An animal doesn't get it, it's just caged and I can't stand it. If I think about it, I am at once in tears.
The first dog that we got from the animal shelter was seriously injured. He has burn-scars all over his ears, because the former owner stubbed out their cigarettes on it. He has bad teeth, because as puppy they gave him beer to drink. These are expierences, which characterized us.

"Wild Animals Out Of The Circus!"
Bill & Tom from Tokio Hotel stand up for animals
The twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz of Germany's internationally most successful rock band Tokio Hotel protest with an elaborate photo opportunity for the use of animals in the entertainment industry: "The Slaves Of The Entertainment Industry: Wild Animals Out Of The Circus!" is the slogan with which the musicians, for the first time now participate in a PETA campaign.

Chained and blood-smeared, Bill and Tom are seen in dark surroundings. The campaign is published internationally: in addition to Europe, it is also seen in the U.S. and Asia.
"You only have time to imagine that animals are kept all their lives like that! Circus performances with animals should be prohibited, there are enough interesting alternatives!" says Bill. Specifically, the musicians will appeal to parents who are still bringing their children to the circus with this design. "Especially parents must develop a consciousness here." says Tom.
The two vegetarians also wonder about the Federal Government: On October 17th 2003, the Federal Council unanimously sent a clear signal to the federal government and in a resolution. voted to ban wild animals in the circus (especially elephants, monkeys and bears). The federal government still does not move and makes animal abuse to continue!

Exclusive Interview with Tokio Hotel
The German band will give their first concert in Perú Thursday the 25th at the Jockey Club. Bill and Tom Kaulitz promised a great show
Awards precede them. They are flaming winners of the MTV European Awards (category Best World Stage Performance), plus collectors of gold and platinum records; the German group Tokio Hotel is closer to giving their first concert in our country as part of their Welcome to Humanoid City tour.
"You will see more or less the same show that we have given in the European tour. The thing is we will not be able to offer exactly the same production. But there's no doubt that it will be spectacular. We are taking all our outfits; and, we will be playing songs from our new album", details Bill Kaulitz via telephone about their upcoming presentation.
The show they will give on the 25th of this month at the Jockey Club will present a futuristic style inspired by their last album: "Humanoid" (2009), that gathers diverse elements from science fiction. Of course, within the 'set list', they will perform songs from their whole career such as "Monsoon", "Ready Set Go", "Humanoid", and "Automatic".
Since they formed the group, a decade ago, the twins Bill (vocals) and Tom (guitar) Kaulitz together with Georg Listing (bass and keyboard) and Gustav Schäfer (drums) began playing in small clubs before making themselves known. That's why they learned to take the splendor that comes with fame patiently.
"We understand what it feels like when people don't know you, even though now we've also seen the other side of things. To remain focused, we remember what it felt like in the beginning when no one knew us", explains the singer.
If well they don't know much about our country, Bill and Tom demonstrated being excited to play in Lima for the first time and letting themselves be surprised by Perú. But not necessarily by the cuisine nor the scenery, but by something closer to them: the fans.
"I think the most wonderful thing one can see is when we meet for the first time with them. Those reactions, above all when one is so far away from home, they form a magical moment", shares Tom. His twin does not fall behind and completes the idea with a thank you to all their fans. "The energy they give off is incredible. That's why we love them so much. We love our fans. They don't live music, they live Tokio Hotel", he adds.
For the moment, the German band is focused on the Latin American tour that will take them thereafter to Chile and Mexico. If they confirmed that they have a project in mind, they don't want to say too much about it. What they did assure is that they will continue to record in English and their following destination is Tokyo, the city with which they always dreamed of.

Tokio Hotel back in Germany...
...but only for a few days since they are doing an exclusive two day photo shooting in Berlin. After that the twins will head back home to Los Angeles.
